How do you approach the synthesis of an industrial program and community engagement? Our aim with the Weave is to lift up the existing parkscape along the river and create a dynamic roofscape that organically draws the public into the building and brings them on a journey through the recycling and energy from waste facilities within.

The facade follows the curvature of the river’s edge, allowing soft lifts for people to enter, and peeling away on the roofscape for people to slip inside. The photovoltaic glass fins sweep along the facade, giving homage to the curvature of the buildings and revealing the arrangement of the program within.
