The project is a waste-to-energy + recycling centre located at the water’s edge of the Brooklyn Navy Yards. The design merges the native wetland with industrial processing systems by connecting them through public circulation that weaves through both the interior and exterior as a kind of experiential diagram of interconnected material waste and renewal streams.

Vessels which contain the core functions of systems and machines.

The formal design derives from casting studies of vessels which contain the core functions of systems and machines, while connecting them with one another through a network of pipes that penetrate the vessel shells.

An assemblage of components that evolves into something more robustly interconnected with time.
