This thesis aims to create a “respite hub”, a transformative rebirth for the temporary alleviation of poverty, by using local waste materials generated by the city. The intent is to first provide a short-term restful experience for urban workers to slow down and take a break from their busy lives. Second, to create a space made of urban waste which is transformed into materials that encourage, reference, and celebrate the natural senses, the unnatural natural.
