This project offers an experiential take on the topic of air pollution. The first part of the design is a personal air filter designed to utilize algae, and human breathing in order to function much like a life-straw. The second part of the project is an exhibition space that demonstrates the function of the devices as participants navigate a foggy maze with imagery of systemic issues that cause air pollution.

Etiquette of the Device
This is an 18 by 24 poster advertising the experiential event with information defining the speculative aspects of the design. The text illustrates the “rules” surrounding the space and the device and the reasons for following them in this world where personal air filters are necessary.
